TO FORGIVE

Even to forgive those who are truly contrite


is often a tremendous fight


Yet to extend forgiveness in part


does not allow renewal to truly start

If forgiveness in the end does not carry the day


that which is not forgiven keeps true growth at bay


crippling relationships and darkening our sight


from basking in the unfettered rays of forgiveness's light


the desire to forgive  realigns our compass


to walk in another's shoes thus helping  us bypass


much of the pain,the anger that brought us down


and prevents any needless ego filled showdown


It is not for another when you choose to forgive


but for you ,so with the release you will truly live

CAPACITY TO LOVE

We all have the capacity to love

Divinely ordained from above

which cannot truly be without giving

and is a reason for many to go on living

Our capacity to love a gift like no other

As long as we reduce the "I" making room for another

Our capacity to love weighs down the negative

so that all that stays afloat is the positive

Our joy now finds a new location

In the smile of another and their elation

UNITE

Too tough to unite! Too tough to unite!


They shout with all their might


In anticipated relief,in surrender to avoid our plight


When they look at others all they see is the night


No wonder they say to tough to unite


Yet if Hashem (G-D) decrees what is possible and right


no matter the challenge we have the strength to see the light


So make the choice and repel separation's blight


Then together we shall merit Divine blessing in Israel's 
sovereign delight

כחה של ישראל

רבים מתעלמים מכחה של ישראל


ונותנים חשיבות לתעתועי עישו וישמעאל


נח יותר להבין את הרגע


מאשר לסור אל ההיסטריה ולהקטין כל פגע


ישראל עברה תלאות אין ספור


ובכל זאת מרימה ראש בכל דור


נגזר,עם מי שנמליך בכל תחומי חיינו


בנתיבו תתפתח גורלינו


הבה  נתעלה מעל מלכים חולפים


ולדבוק במלך מלכי המלכים


ובכך נכיר כח אמיתי


ומתוך אחדות נהיה  באמת חופשי

Temptation

To many temptation is the short road to elation

blinding her followers with illusory fascination

Nurturing excitement passion and frenzied anticipation

Bringing priorities and clear thinking to immediate cessation

misrepresenting the fleeting with the importance of the eternal

Yet once engaged and revealed infernal

We again have the chance to embrace the supernal

Letting Hashem(G-D) back in feeling strong enough to repel

Temptation's wiles no matter the sell

EGO

Dont lose moments in the clutches of ego

even though to succumb might seem too tempting to forego

the comatose existence in ego's embrace

kills precious moments without a trace

the joy of being with our loved ones marred by a word

as we never pause to see how absurd

Hashem (G-D) gives us the strength to step back

bringing our perspective back on track

thus with understanding threatening to invade

forgiveness diminishing ego's tirade

we awaken with the pain of moments long dead

But also with the knowledge that joy will now spread

and each moment will not seem lost but a gift instead

UNITY

Unity is the vessel of Hashems (G-D'S) blessing

To turn a blind eye is to keep on guessing

When the road gets bumpy many choose retreat

Unwilling to find a point where all may meet

In blind sight they see victory and not defeat

Paving the way for discord to find its ringside seat

Where it bears witness to the destruction which follows in its wake

My! how self righteous obduracy discounts what is at stake

Yet if blessing and prosperity you desire

And to meaningful growth you aspire

Then let unity be your constant attire

Allowing Mashiach(the Messiah) to finally extricate us from Diaspora's quagmire
